![]() Phone was on IOS 8, I managed to upgrade it to IOS 12 in update mode, but it still won't go past the lock screen. I am aware that connecting iTunes would allow a backup, but there is no computer that it previously attached to to do this with. We could restore the phone, but there are photos on it that were not backed up. Phone only has 1 attempt left before it locks completely.īut no email setup was attempted in this case, just taking photos. It was definitely not changed by the user or anybody else ( I was with them at the time). The phone was unlocked last week to take some photos, locked for a few minutes, picked up again and suddenly the passcode would not work. The passcode (6 digits) has been the same for months and the user unlocked the phone a few times during the day with no issues. Also, last night my phone died and when it asked for the password after it charged back up it worked. I don't want to have to erase all data and pictures I have, to unlock a phone I know the password to. I looked this up and nothing helped me at all. On the login screen you have to press and hold the shift key on the keyboard and while holding shift key click on restart from the power icon on the bottom right corner of the screen, it will take you to windows recovery screen, click on troubleshoot and then you select reset or factory image restore to reinstall Windows, once done setup your. it still said "iPhone locked for 15 minuets". Next, I turned off my phone and turned it back on. I then put in my passcode and it was saying I was wrong, I then tried to put in the old password and nothing worked and it was locked for 15 minuets. This morning I was on my phone without any issues, Then about an hour ago my phone asked for my password to be put in (after I was using my thumbprint all day). ![]() ![]() When I went to put passcode back on I accidentally put in a really old password, but I immediately changed it to the one I normally use. About a week ago I had to turn passcode off for a scene in class I was doing. I have an iPhone 8, and recently a message popped up saying "incorrect password" when I have been using the same password for as long as I've had the phone.
